Green Chemistry Initiative

Green Chemistry is the practice of manufacturing and creating chemical products that reduce or eliminate harm to ourselves and the environment. Black Women for Wellness joined the ranks of environmental health groups advocating for a greener, healthier environment and economy. We have several programs, workshops and training having to do with the intersections between reproductive justice and environmental health.

Hello. I was listening to the Tom Joiner Morning show when I heard the bit about chemical relaxers being linked to fibroids and other womens health issues. I would like to know more and I would like to know how I can go green. I am a stylist and have been promoting the natural look, however, I am limited on the products I use. I would love to be exposed to products that deliver real results. I would love to have to stop buying commercial products that can be retrieved from the shelf at Sally’s.
    Please help!!!!!
