Marissa Chan is the Environmental Research and Policy Coordinator

Marissa is the Environmental Research and Policy Coordinator at BWW and manages the Environmental Justice (EJ) Program. The EJ program is focused on educating and empowering hair stylists and Black women with the knowledge and tools to reduce exposure to toxic chemicals in their environment and addressing systematic environmental justice issues through research and policy. She is a recent Urban and Environmental Policy graduate from Occidental College in Los Angeles and interested in all things endocrine disruptor-related. Her passion and work experience focuses on the intersection between exposure to place-based and product-based toxics and environmental justice.
