This Friday, February 17, 2012 Black Women for Wellness is having a fundraiser!!!
Join us at the Pan African Film Festival as we screen the film, “Venus Noire”.  “Venus Noire” is an intense French film that explores the racism and voyeurism suffered by an African woman, Sarah Baartman of the Khoikhoi tribe at the hands of the French. A heart wrenching movie that gives insight into the history of the hypersexualization and degradation of the Black female body.
