MYFOXNY.COM – Congressional hearings on Wednesday will focus on the safety of popular hair straightening treatments including the Brazilian Blowout.
The Food and Drug Administration says it has received complaints that the formaldehyde in the straightening products can cause eye irritation, breathing problems, headaches, rashes and fainting.
There is speculation that long-term use could cause cancer.
“We remain 100% confident with regards to the safety and integrity of the original BB treatment and will continue to sell this product as it remains incredibly popular throughout the U.S. and worldwide. ” -Mike Brady CEO Brazilian Blowout
